Sour Manor is a Crokinole variant game about shooter control, and keeping your shooter in the house while getting a target disc into the 20 or outside of the house.

Normal Crokinole rules apply unless they conflict with the rules below.

Goal

Your goal is to get the least strikes. Strikes are recorded into the 20s bowl.

Game start

Normal Crokinole setup. 2 or 4 players valid.

Shots

Instead of shots being valid/invalid based on touched disc, each disc on the board has an outcome based on who owns the disc and if the disc was a shooter. You are never required to hit an opponent's disc.

Each turn, you start with one of your own disc in your shooting pile. Your turn continues until your shooting pile is empty. You may shoot any disc that is in your shooting pile.

Shot's Outcome

A disc landing in the 20 is a strike for the disc's color.

A shooter landing outside of the house will be removed: If it was your disc, it is a strike. If it was your opponent's disc, it goes to the gutter.

Other discs landing in the gutter: If it was your disc, it remains in the gutter. If it was your opponent's disc, it goes to your shooting pile.

Other discs outside of the house: It goes to your shooting pile.

Discs touching the inner circle are still in the house.

End of Game

Play continues until you run out of your initial disc and the shooter piles are empty. Whoever has the least strikes wins.

Ties

In the case of a tie, each tied player gets 1 disc of their opponent's, and takes turns shooting for a 20. If you get a 20, you keep your opponent's piece for the next round. If you miss, and anyone else makes a 20 in the round, you are out. If everyone misses the 20, everyone remaining continues with their opponent's piece into the next round. Continue until only one player remains.
